How to speed up Windows Vista computer

Written By Sreeram Penna

I have bought my Windows vista laptop almost one and half year ago. Its from Lenova Thinkpad seris. It worked beautifully at first. But as time passed computer started responding slowly compared even to my destop brought 5 years ago with Windows xp.  I am currently on mission to improve performance of my laptop. Tips would be helpful. I will write all my experiance in this post.

First step I did was to install a spyware remover. I downloaded free programme called Spybot Search and Destroy to find and destroy any spyware. It has removed around 12 adware cookies. Did it have any effect on my laptop performance, I think it probably dint have. It is still slow.

Second Step was to download latest service pack  (2 ) of Windows vista. Which I did still no luck, my laptop takes ages to load.

But I will keep trying till it works.

  1. Arial says:

Besides getting rid of certain spyware, I think you can defragment your disk as well since too many disk fragments in your hard disk can slow down your laptop without question. And, You can find more information in:http://ezinearticles.com/?Defragment-Disk—Useful-Knowledge-About-Defragmentation&id=3161550

  2. Thank you for information Arial
