Shoulder clinical examination
Shoulder examination follows normal examination pattern of look, feel, move and special tests. I have previously posted a presentation about shoulder examination at this link.

Inspection – look from front, side, back. Look for scars of injury or previous operation, deformity, sinuses, muscle bulk, and swellings.

Palpation – systematic approach palpate clavicle, AC joint, Acromian, spine of the scapula, arm, and fore arm.

Movements – Active and Passive, flexion, extension, external rotation, internal rotation, and adduction. Measure rythem of shoulder movement. Assess extent of glenohumeral movement versus scapulothoracic movement by stabilising shoulder.
