One of the signs of leader is being strong, articulate and well prepared to any problems that they may face. Old proverb says “when going gets tough, tough gets going”. That is main essence of a leader. If people don’t have characteristics of leader but managed get that position based on other reasons like family position, money or similar things, they can’t acts as one. Their work tends to be chaotic, dependent on advisers and get desperate in tough situations. This comparison can be easily drawn between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Barack Obama came through lots of challenges all through his life. He was born to a black father and white mother. He was raised by single parent, gone to school with scholarships worked hard all the way to Harvard law school. He then went to Chicago to do community service, worked all the way to state senate, then to national senate and now he is pushing himself to become next president of America. Raise of Obama highlights traits one need to have to be a leader. His ability to manage campaign effectively, his approach to people, his novel way to get donations, his stand on his principle all show how effective he can be as a leader.
Hillary Clinton on the other hand was born with silver spoon, was wife of former president. Her career mostly was a cake walk. She became New York senator without significant fight. She was established candidate at the beginning. She chose team not based on talent but on past links. Her team did not grasp rules of nomination process; she was not prepared to run even for primaries. Her principles kept changing as she need, she started lying and finally she is accusing Obama campaign for her failures. In nut shell when going gets tough, she got desperate, chaotic, demoralised and lost her principles.
